PageSnap is a browser extension that captures screenshots of web pages. It is designed so that your screenshots and the pages you visit stay on your computer.

What PageSnap does with your data

  • Screenshots and page text are created, edited and stored only inside your browser. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
  • OCR (reading text from images) runs on your computer using code bundled with the extension.
  • Settings and your latest screenshots are kept in your browser's local storage so you can reopen them. You can delete them at any time by removing the extension.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind is included in the extension.

Permissions

  • activeTab: to capture the page you click PageSnap on.
  • scripting: to scroll that page and read its text and layout so it can be captured and copied.
  • contextMenus: to add the PageSnap entries to the right-click menu.
  • clipboardWrite: to copy your screenshot to the clipboard when you ask.
  • storage: to remember your settings and recent captures on this device.
  • Optional website access, requested only when you choose to add a page by link or save original image files. It applies to the single website you approve.

Data sharing

We do not sell, share or transfer user data. If you use the share buttons, your browser opens the service you picked (for example WhatsApp or email) with a link to PageSnap; no screenshots are included.

Remote code

PageSnap does not load or run code from the internet. All code is included in the extension package.

This website (fullpagesnap.com)

The extension and this website are separate. The extension never contacts the website and never sends it any data.

  • The website uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, which pages are read and which buttons are clicked (for example "Add to Chrome"). It records approximate location (country or city), device and browser type and the page you came from. It does not know your name or anything you capture with PageSnap.
  • Analytics cookies are used only if you click Accept on the notice at the bottom of the page. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice by clearing this site's data in your browser.
  • Google processes this data as described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Advertising features and ad personalisation are turned off.
  • If you email us, we keep your message and address only to answer you.
